The following are tasks I'd suggest Microsoft takes a look at before launching Microsoft Office 2010.

If you insist on using ISO-dates, set the dateCompatibility on the root element to "false" to avoid the leap year bug |

Use one of the standard FIPS-algorithms to provide document protection of spreadsheets instead of the weak legacy algorithm |

Use DrawingML to store comments in spreadsheets |
